Gabriele Skucas is a knitwear label, consisting of garments made by hand in Lithuania, Gabriele’s home country. Upon graduation from Central Saint Martin’s Masters program, Skucas knew she needed to pursue handcraft and be stubborn in an incredibly fast paced fashion industry which praises modern techniques. GS is an outsider brand, consisting each season of a limited amount of crocheted garments as an homage, a “conversation” which she insists on keeping with her grandmothers who both taught her how to crochet. Gabriele hopes the owner of each piece can cherish and appreciate these garments for several seasons, defying the pace of passing trends. These sweaters are joyous and each designed with a story pertaining to a moment from Skucas’s life - a simple, physical diary of memories.
